I provide clinical supervision for Washington State.
If you are an associate therapist working toward licensure, I can help. You might have an understanding of differentiation and a systemic lens for therapy and want a supervisor who shares that perspective. You may be looking for a supervisor who can also help you build a successful private practice. You might already know that you would like to work with couples in your work or that you want to be prepared to talk about sexual issues with your clients. You may want to work with a supervisor who uses a warm but direct approach.
My training is rooted in family systems and differentiation.
Differentiation theory suggests that life's work is developing the capacity to know and express one's true self while still maintaining openness and connection to others. This work of differentiation happens with the important people in a client's life – the systems, like families, to which they belong. Understanding the dynamics that exist between people, as well as the way these dynamics entrap clients, is a powerful tool in being able to make change.
I share my particular specialty in working with couples and sex.
As an AASECT certified sex therapist and an experienced couples' counselor, I bring a rare combination of expertise to my work in clinical supervision. My training in couples' therapy includes extensive training with David Schnarch (the Sexual Crucible) with a sprinkling of EFT. Whether you plan to focus on this work or just want to be well-versed in the topics, I have a wealth of experience to share.
I am a mentor in building a successful private practice.
I have offered mentorship groups to new practitioners that focus on the business side of creating a viable practice. I share my experience in branding, marketing, advertising, networking and business planning with supervisees as part of our work together. I want to see you succeed, both clinically and professionally.
